For all who gave generously, both the hearts and the money to DU--many thanks!
Being nice to one person may not change the world, but it can change the world for that one person.

(86,665 posts)rather than create yet another to express my thanks. I received a whole bunch of hearts and I am both amazed and impressed.
Thank you all who shared hearts with me!

(86,665 posts)and it was a lot of fun while they lasted. I renew every year at this time so that I can afford to do both, renew my sub and spread hearts around.

(63,221 posts)I am grateful for your kindness and generosity. Also, your (our) contributions help DU to keep going and to make this a safe place for all of us during these trying times.
I often wonder what I would have done without this place. I have been here since the early Bush years and I think I would have lost my mind without a community of like-minded people to belong to and commiserate with.

(2,535 posts)...I was more than totally surprised and flattered to get a heart from someone, but I am not sure whom. This gesture made me feel so much a part of this forum and I want to thank whoever it was. Thank you so much!

(32,659 posts)Every one of these hearts represents $1 donated to DU, which I consider a worthy cause.
If this Valentine Hearts thing helps DU keep going for another year (along with our star memberships) then I'm all for it. Thanks to DU and thanks to all the nice DUers who participated this year!

(4,982 posts)And would like to give all my heart-givers an extra . Had a nicer week just because you spent a moment on my behalf.
Has been good to hear from some of those who dont post as much as they used to am looking at you, Maeve 💙.
Im so very fond of DU and DUers, its not even funny. Except for when it is, and then, sometimes its maddening, but I love it here all the same.

(42,283 posts)Yeah, real-life keeps me off the board as much as previously, but I'm also still keeping a hand in on the "invisible" side (off and on, I've been a forum host and/or MIRT member).
DU is an island of sanity in this crazy political landscape and DUers are terrific!

(4,982 posts)before I was compelled to start posting during the tRump nightmare, and was pleased to see your handle. Lol, I have maxed out my heart buying budget three times over this week, but needed to be sure I gave you a heart somehow.
Keep up the good work, and look forward to seeing your voice in here from time to time.
