What could she possibly see in him? As far as I know, he's not rich and he certainly doesn't have any other redeeming qualities.

She gets to go to state dinners and meet all kinds of VIPs and people who can advance her career and social/professional standing. I suspect that it was not talent alone that got her the position of press secretary to VP Pence during the courtship.
