Trump campaign soils itself after Obama claims credit for economic boom

The Trump campaign fired back Monday after former President Barack Obama, in a subtle swipe at President Trump, claimed credit for the economic gains in both their terms.

Obama tweeted Monday morning to note the anniversary of his signing the 2009 economic stimulus package.

“Eleven years ago today, near the bottom of the worst recession in generations, I signed the Recovery Act, paving the way for more than a decade of economic growth and the longest streak of job creation in American history,” Obama tweeted, alongside a photo of his signature on the bill.

But the Trump campaign, in a statement to Fux Noise, countered that the economy is recovering only because of the actions Trump took to undo his predecessor's policies.

Don't bother with the facts, Trump cultists don't like facts.

And I do believe some think Trump has been President forever, and will be so in the future. 100 years of Trump coming up! /sarcasm

The really annoying thing here is, that Obama is counteracting the Trump propaganda.

But don't worry, Fox News is on the job of healing the wound Obama just made in the Trump delusion.
All is well in the world of the Trump True Believers. Just stay tuned to Fox and all your worries will be sorted!

Only question I have is this: If things get really bad for the Trump cultists, will they see the cool-aid and waiting for the mother-ship to take them to the Rapture as the only options left?

We are starting to see the effects of Trump's policies now. Economists are predicting recession in the next year or so. Trump was riding President Obama's coattails for the last 3+ years. President Obama cut unemployment from high single and low double digits to about 6% or high 5%. Trump comes in and the numbers go down another 1% or 1.5% and Trump tries to claim that he made it all possible.

He's an idiot.

just watch Trump, Trump followers and Fox News come up with inventive ways to explain it all away, not Trump's fault, etc.

Hope it doesn't happen though. Too many innocent people will get hurt.

But the truth is the economy is an unpredictable beast, it does it's own thing without obvious cause and effect.

For anyone to claim a political leader can steer it accurately and quickly is just foolish.

Among world leaders, Trump is the only one claiming he can steer the economy of his country.

Tariffs today, everybody benefits tomorrow. Nope, that logic doesn't work for me.

Blow up the deficit under Repugs by feeding filthy rich donors, blame the result on the Democrat who follows while blocking every social program by screaming about the deficit; rinse and repeat.
