Why is Tucker Carlson playing it straight on Coronavirus tonight?

He even attacked the CDC for a lack of screening airline passengers for Italy!!

(There was a shot at liberals for claiming anyone wishing to impede travel to infected counties was xenophobic, but that was it.)

Then he interviewed Tulsi Gabbard who also was highly worried about the spread of the virus. So I wondered, is he giving her cred so she can run for President on a 3rd party ticket?

Does he really realize the danger of this virus and did he want to get out in front of it, trying to find a viable position for Republicans when/if the shit-hits-the-fan? (Even while Trump is calling the virus a Democrat hoax at his SC rally.)

Did he find his conscience? (Little hope of that.)

I'm waiting for him to interview a Fox medical expert (Dr. Seigal) in a few minutes and will report on that, but what I've heard so far is highly unusual.

It's still just cynical self-interest, like everything is with him and that network.

when traveling. A fluff piece of sorts.

But the question remains with Tucker. He did not sooth anyone's fears and might be said to have ratcheted up the fear. Why?

and when he sees the inevitable direction of a story or event, he takes a position which the rest of the party, resistent at fist, is compelled to take after the sh*t his the fan a certain Republicah heard line.

So Tucker might be showing us the future stance of the Republican Party on Coronavirus.
