(23,738 posts)Now, none of the grocery stores has Purell left.
I discovered you can make a reasonable substitute using isopropyl alcohol and aloe vera gel.

(89 posts)The Walgreens near me has been out.I found two 2 ounce spray bottles of a sanitizer that has coconut oil in it along with ethenol. They were $2.99 each. 90% isopropyl alcoho! Is still around but supp!ies are scarce.
I also saw people at the local Chick Fil A grabbing handfuls of the Purell towelets they give out with the condiments.
I'm going to hit the dollar store sometime today

From what I've been reading the masks
won't really help unless you already have
the virus and don't want to spread it.
Personally I think this is all over blown.

(4,483 posts)My doctor agrees. And I have a chronic lung condition; he says the regular masks from the drugstore don't protect against viruses, which are too small to be stopped by paper masks. Respirators are another story, but masks don't do any good.
