Okla. Man Sentenced to Life for Holding Stepdaughter Captive for 19 Years, Fathering Her 9 Children

A man convicted of kidnapping and traveling with a minor to engage in a sexual act was sentenced to life in prison on Feb. 20, according to a statement released by the U.S. Department of Justice.

Henri Michelle Piette, 65, was sentenced to life for kidnapping, 360 months for traveling with intent to engage in sexual acts with a juvenile, a $50,000 fine and ordered to pay $50,067 restitution.

During the 2019 trial, prosecutors presented evidence that Piette kidnapped his stepdaughter Rosalynn McGinnis, who was 12 at the time, from Poteau, Okla., where he had been living with McGinnis’ mother.

“Over the course of the nearly 20 years that followed, the defendant repeatedly raped and inflicted additional physical and emotional abuse upon the victim,” the department stated. “The victim gave birth to nine children, the first being born in 2000 when she was 15 years-old.”

Made that mistake with Weinstein. Probably reported by some reproductive slavery-supporting Trumper. Pfft.

Too bad women and girls in the US aren't considered human but rather property, still. Otherwise the punishment for these cretins would fit the crime: castration.

Unless he could be castrated repeatedly for 19 years. I don't know how to put him through the hell that he put her through, for that duration.

at least she did get away. It will be a hard life for her raising that many children. Hope they never let him out of prison, he's a monster.

responsible for these children. How much education do any of them, including the mother. She' will need therapy for the rest of her life.

I hate stories like this.

Not sure life imprisonment is good enough. Solitary on top of it. No yard, etc etc.

A good addition to his sentence. I cannot imagine how alone that poor woman felt for so long. No parole, either. Ever.

If there is any silver lining, it's that she's 32, 33 years old. May she and her children know peace.

Fritzl had assaulted, sexually abused, and raped her numerous times during her imprisonment inside a concealed area in the basement of the family home.[1][2] The abuse by Elisabeth's father resulted in the birth of seven children:[3] three of them remained in captivity with their mother, one had died just days after birth at the hands of Josef Fritzl who disposed of his body in an incinerator,[4] and the other three were brought up by Fritzl and his wife, Rosemarie, having been reported as foundlings.
