Well, I'm sure that the 5,000 Taliban fighters released for the truce will all report back to their incarceration facilities, right? I mean, if they don't, they're surely not rooting for the President to succeed, and Ivanka will have a big, big sad!

So you may be right. But it wouldn't surprise me in the least if some of the incarcerated Taliban folks had been released.

The Afghan government is going to have to get it through its head that POWs are released at the end of a war. This tendency to slap the label "terrorist" on somebody and hold them forever on that basis is really just unsustainable.
