I have been a registered Democrat since 1972. My first vote was cast in that year's Presidential primary, for Rep. Shirley Chisholm. In 2004, I was elected to my local ward Committee. I campaigned hard for john Kerry for President. I campaigned hard in 2006 to elect Deval Patrick as the first black Governor in Massachusetts history. I was subsequently elected chair of my ward committee, and then vice chair of my city committee.
When I see a candidate threaten the Democratic Establishment, it makes my blood boil. There are millions of others like me all over this great land, and we do not deserve threats and disparagement.
Rant off.
