for the government to take this seriously? Remember how nothing much was happening with HIV until Rock Hudson died?

and honestly I'd prefer it be someone very popular more or less across the board like Bruce Springsteen so that there's no bullshit, just instant awareness raised leading to shit happening because people demand it.

and persuasions, it would have to be someone not terribly old. I fear many people are shrugging it off as something that only old people are dying of. There's a 50 year old attorney in Westchester County in NY that is in critical condition who caught it from his rabbi. Now there are 98 infected in Westchester County.
