so that one could see new posts in GD throughout the day knowing that they could also come home hours later and hit the COVID-19 forum and see everything related posted that day.

I still think GD (and LBN) should get posts in real time.

There would need to be strict guidelines about what could be posted, though. There would definitely need to be a minimum standard of sourcing so that false information wouldn't be disseminated. Maybe it would be more prudent to make it more of a support group.
It is a really good idea.
