Just watching CO Gov. Polis' COVID-19 press converence and update. Governors of affected states...

--at least the more progressive and worst-affected states-- put Federal response to shame. I don't agree with everything he's said or any of the other governors, but it is clear they have educated themselves, have listened, researched the experiences of others and are acting accordingly and even innovatively.

After declaring emergency status, he's using those powers to try to address some of the hourly wage worker issues, he's established the first of several coming drive through testing facilities and is expanding telemedicine opportunities.

I'm a bit fatalistic about all this, though I personally am doing all I can and am trained to deal with this kind of thing. I think people have reason to be concerned, but if we get through this without the worst-case scenario coming to pass, it will be because state and local officials are stepping up and in every way possible are ignoring Trump and his ilk.

So, I give them my appreciation and support. Competency matters!
