How accurate are our trackers for the US?

I assume that the John's Hopkins and TrackCorona depend on accurate reports and that those reports would be based on testing and confirmation which then relies on the availability of testing kits.

Has anybody checked into that or found anything out about the effect that the Trump Debacle is having on all that?

Since there are some anecdotal reports about medical services starting to be overwhelmed in couple of areas, the trackers do not seem to be reflecting that. Is it just a delay or are the test kits and the Adminstration an issue?

Just curious.
