It's killing me to watch Brian the Rich Williams letting people know how they can live on pennies a day until they die.

(14,195 posts)Leisure time to volunteer and enjoy my hobbies (which will also mean i spend money in my community), its really a win win situation.
I dont know what these people are thinking with their "work until you are 70" crap. My father, his nine siblings, his mom, dad, and my mothers mom and dad all died between 63 and 65. My mom and her sister are still alive in their early 80s.
Given those odds i am definitely retiring at 60!

(10,465 posts)My parents worked hard and saved a lot for their retirement. My dad has a pension from the Pittsburgh Public Schools. They've enjoyed their retirement considerably (although I wish that they'd give up our house and move into something smaller and one-story). I want the same thing for myself and my husband.
