Trump encountered second person who later tested positive for coronavirus - White House physician

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump encountered a second individual last weekend who later tested positive for coronavirus, but the president did not require testing for the virus or quarantining, the White House physician said on Friday.

Trump last weekend dined with a group that included Brazil’s communications secretary, Fabio Wajngarten, who Brazilian officials say has now been tested positive for coronavirus.

White House physician Dr Sean P. Conley said another guest at the dinner at Mar-a-Lago whom the president briefly came in contact with started to show symptoms of COVID-19 three days later and has since been confirmed with the virus.

The encounter was “low risk” and there was no need for the president to “home quarantine”, Conley said in a statement late on Friday.

“The President’s exposure to the first individual was extremely limited (photograph, handshake) and though he spent more time in closer proximity to the second case, all interactions occurred before any symptom onset,” he said.

and bringing it home with them (no, I'm not blaming them, it's a virus and it's most contagious before it makes people feel ill). Those are the likeliest people to meet Orange Slob on the golf course or in the dining room at Mar A Loco. That it's starting from the top down is no mystery. Unfortunately, it's a virus and all it wants to do is replicate and move on, so the infection is spreading rapidly.

The Presidunce seems to think his money makes him immortal, invulnerable, and bulletproof. I just hope mayors and governors start denying permits for his rallies. Even if they encase him in Plexiglas with piped in air, the crowds of chanting morons will spread that virus very efficiently.

I had to appreciate the video here of Dr. Sanjay Gupta on Colbert, saying several times that the Presidunce has been told many times about the risk. He didn't say it had penetrated his cement skull, only that he had been told. Let's hope mayors and governors take it seriously.

I thought, "I bet he's in the incubating but contagious stage." (very transmissible) It brought a momentary smile.

Then I thought "That's horrible. What's wrong with you? He would be exposing everyone he interacts with."

Given the number of people that is, he would infect far more than the average R zero.

I don't want that.

We must test, test, test (as Pelosi points out).

We must test people who, because of their jobs, continue to interact regularly with groups of other people. Given the rate of transmission from incubating, asymptotic, folks, we must test whether these people are symptomatic or not.

And that means testing Trump.

If the man is positive, quarantine him. He can tweet his heart out and hold pressers from an isolated area of the residence.

We are absolutely living in a crazy simulation/movie. If someone would have tried to warn us about this a year ago, hell even a couple months ago we would have thought they were crazy.

An empty cell on each side and bring his food using a robot. No cell phone or visitors allowed. He would self-destruct in under a week.

That's a condition I call ego implosion.

That orange slob can wait his turn with the rest of us. He can turn purple under the orange and stamp his little feet as much as he wants to. It will entertain the rest of us in line.

those facilities are being immediately shut down and sanitized/disinfected.

My question then is: Why isn't Mar-a-Loco being emptied and shut down for cleansing?
