The silver lining to this: The world as a whole is forced to grapple with a global crisis.

One that can't be solved by tanks or planes or guns.

Many countries have been hesitant to do their share and thus have noticed the downside to being ill prepared. Countries also will realize that the best way to solve this problem is working with each other and not isolating into their own little corners. Putting together our best scientific brains will go a long way.

We should hopefully get over this, eventually. Might be costly, but we should get over this.

And with this, we will learn a valuable lesson that we can then apply going forward to seriously dealing with climate change.

If only we can get ourselves a new President, that will be a start for us.
