A local fourth-year resident posted this on Reddit and is good advice for COVID-19

Fourth-year resident doctor, mom, wife here, working in hospital in Victoria, BC. Husband is an avid Redditor. I am a proud Canadian and want to be able to stand for something in the face of this crisis, doing what I can. I hope you will consider standing with me. We need everyone – Redditors, Victorians, Canadians – to work together and be brave together. We need to start living differently for the time being. That is what this thread is about; I need your help. COVID-19 info provided here is applicable to other cities, so please share as you see fit.

At the hospitals, we are working hard as quickly as we can to do the best we can and to prepare. It is inspiring seeing what is happening and how quickly. We know from Italy, China, and South Korea that responding to COVID-19 is not only a healthcare issue and we won’t be successful if we treat it that way. The team effort of all Canadians will determine Canada’s fate in the coming weeks ahead. We are learning as you learn. It is moving and changing very quickly. Last weekend I went to a birthday party with my son, mid-week I ditched the communal coffee in the doctor’s lounge (Thanks Tim Horton’s), my husband stayed in his car on the ferry, and this weekend we postponed travel plans and have started to practice extreme social distancing.
