We were notified this morning that the campus is completely closed. Someone on the OU campus has been diagnosed with COVID-19. The students are already gone. We are trying to figure out what to do with ongoing research that needs to be tended to. I hope this doesn't go on for a long time but it might.

(32,057 posts)Schools are closed here for 3 weeks (in Ohio) maybe longer. All college classes on line now. All bars and restaurants closed. We are one whole year away from a vaccine, and thats being optimistic. Were in for the long haul, Im afraid.

(12,265 posts)This is closing everything down, sending all employees except the vital ones home. I don't think a week will do it either, but it is what it is. At least for this week we will be paid, not sure past that.

(12,265 posts)can continue to write papers and such from home. We did not anticipate them telling us we could not go back to campus, I know he should have, but he is totally lab and research driven. That is something else to think about this is shutting down medical research like my husband's all over the country as well.
