Trump, the people who work for him are complete frauds. They have hollowed out, weakened, corrupted our entire federal government.
It's really sad to watch ten of millions of Americans unable to recognize the obvious, reality itself. The end result is going to be devastating.
God luck everyone.

(5,271 posts)with the full backing of the right wing think tanks and Repub politicians. A caretaker president would have been tolerable but not a destructive dishonest and divisive agent of chaos desperate to stay in power by eliminating any "disloyal" officials with integrity to help him and his campaign financially and protect him from accountability and scrutiny of his corrupt and criminal acts.

(82,849 posts)How much of government practices and routines can conservatives shit-can and still have a functional country? The process has been going on for three full years, and now we have a stressor in the Covid-19 pandemic to see just how robust what's left of the government is in dealing with it. So far, not so good. With the federal response rendered hors de combat by Republicans, it's up to the states to take care of citizens.
States with functional, responsive governments will fare better than states where government is regarded as a pestilence and a nuisance. Some citizens are going to have to adjust their thinking about the role of government in our society.
