of going before the country and honestly, humbly, soberly, reassuring the nation. All he can do is brag, lie and blame. we have no leadership. This is scary.

(15,149 posts)All those tens of thousands of lies he has told in 4 years leave him with zero credibility. On anything.
It would be better if he shut up. And it would be BEST if he resigned. I know. I know. He won't do that, but it might help a little. The problem is that there are no more people of expertise in his "administration". We must rely on our State governments for help.
Sucks.

(15,149 posts)Can you conceive of being that thing's spouse? He never tells the truth. He never admits that he is wrong. He never takes responsibility for ANYTHING. And you can be sure that he never apologizes.
We won't even consider the other icky part of it.

(15,149 posts)He has been contacting older judges who are eligible to retire and asking them to do so, in order to cram in more unqualified YOUNG judges.
I think he's worried about November and is trying to screw the courts for generations.
Priorities.

(15,149 posts)If they were selecting qualified judges who were merely conservative, that's one thing. But they are choosing Unqualified ideologues. Very young ideologues. Some with NO courtroom experience at all. SMH

(25,183 posts)Trump looks like an idiot right now, but could any president really stop the shitstorm that we're seeing come over the horizon?
Let's be glad that it was on his watch, if it had to happen at all.

(1,178 posts)the virus is going to send the economy into the crapper due to the lack of immediate action to curtail it. People with money in the stock market know it, and they're getting out of it while they can. It's past the point of no return until the pandemic stabilizes.

(25,270 posts)Even if we know he wouldn't - there's no harm in making a loud demand for him to resign. Really put him on the defensive. Maybe - just maybe - he would go into hiding and not tweet or say another thing. Maybe it would shut him up.
Listening to the news all morning and now this afternoon - I didn't even hear anyone even bring that up.
In a normal administration - it would be detrimental to call for a president's resignation. But in this administration - with rampant incompetence and inability to handle this situation - I believe it is in order to call for his resignation. Again - if it doesn't work - at least it may shut him up.
