(7,947 posts)Have to use the library computers and internet. And libraries are closed. I can't imagine how it can work... internet is installed in their homes?
In Europe, there are modem sticks like flash drives, but I haven't seen that here.
The danger is that this will set low income kids and schools even farther back, because poverty will interfere even more with their education.
I hope they can reopen schools soon.
This could be a great job for some tech billionaire... Getting every kid s computer with wifi... and making that a gift, not a loan.
A bit of despair here... the department of education could coordinate that, except it's run by Davos, who doesn't really believe kids deserve a free education.

(34,111 posts)I would have been over the moon talking to one of my teachers like that. Back then it was rare to even know they cared, except for a special few who could not contain the fact that they LOVED what they did.
