Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsHas anyone heard if USPS, the post office, plans to change hours or services?
I hope not!
P.S... I fortunately went to the library today. I had 4 items ready to pick up. The librarian told me she didn't know what was happening and to load up for the quarantine. She said there'll be no late fees, everything will be waived... And on the evening news they announced the libraries are now closed until further notice. I almost didn't go today! (I had till Friday to pick up)

(8,090 posts)And if they do, people will just need to adapt. And think of the postal workers who would be hurt.

(7,307 posts)Or at least, microbial-static.
Laboratory incubators are often lined with copper, and copper sulfate is frequently added to the water that's inside that provides the humidity.

(51,611 posts)It is very thorough. I'm not sure if I thrust the CDC since they have been muffled and I definitely don't trust the fucking moron and his pals. I do trust WHO though.

(53,410 posts)They plan to continue service as usual and are taking measures to deal with the virus. They anticipate needing to hire more employees because of it and they are preparing for that. The CEO said the cardboard surfaces do not hold the virus.
The virus clings to hard surfaces like countertops. Its pretty safe to handle cardboard or clothes.

(13,058 posts)But I do think that ordering delivery is safer than going to a brick and mortar store.

(53,410 posts)Cardboard and paper bags seem to be relatively safe, and this safety will be reinforced by the universal use of gloves which seems to have been accepted by just about every business. But you can also spray the boxes with disinfectant when you get them and before you open them.

(53,410 posts)We must remember to be sure to wash our hands thoroughly after handling cardboard boxes. Break down the boxes and stack them for two or three days before throwing them away.
And if the companies use gloves to keep the virus from spreading that will help too. I think almost every person will soon be wearing gloves automatically. That will slow the virus way down.

(5,042 posts)The post office is a fairly standard 9 to 5 office in most places so I don't see why.
