One thing I felt somewhat confident in was there wouldn't be two positive days in a row. That doesn't fit this pattern, let alone when one figures in COVID-19 and where we are with that.

With the market bouncing between dramatic ups and downs, some of them record-breaking, is exactly what happened before the crashes of 1929, 1987 and 2008:



And that graph doesn't show the nearly 3K drop of Monday, which lines up quite well with the 1929 Day 19, followed by the Day 20 dead cat bounce.

I said this market would be under the 20 Jan 2017 DJIA at the closing bell by the end of this week. Three days to go, and I still stand by that prediction.
