I think maybe I am finally getting some idea what Alan Dershowitz really meant when he said that

the president just can't be impeached for doing anything he thinks will help him get re-elected -- and what the Republican Senate had in mind when they decided not to call any witnesses

It was a roaring FU to everybody: we'll subjugate you by laying waste to the land! We'll destroy you through fear and poverty!

in this, too. He sat like a dummy letting Moscow Mitch make all the rules for this foregone conclusion of an "impeachment trial". The republicans on the SC are all to blame for this mess of a presidency, too. I am not highly educated, but I recognize incompetence when I see it, and tRump is the living, breathing example of that. EVERYONE with a couple of brain cells saw what a clown he is from the get go. He is the exact opposite of the kind of person who should be a leader. Failure hangs onto him like barnacles. That describes his "kids" too. Barnacles.
