I have been looking at Facebook posts from

friends I have visiting Florida. I am seeing pictures of people crowded in restauratns, bars and on the beach. With the elderly population in Florida I predict Florida is going to take a bigger hit than any other state.

Tom Hanks and wife were released from the hospital and beginning 14 day quarantine. I’m hoping most just feel like crap for a few days and recover. I’m an optimist overall.

States with Democratic governors who believe in science are responding sensibly by closing schools and urging people to take precautions. A whole bunch of other states' leaders seem to be ignoring the crisis. Community spread will be rapid in those places.

I don't think they are taking this very seriously and are on the beach almost every day and go out for dinner with friends frequently. They should know better, but I just think they aren't that worried.

haven't left the house except to pick up groceries for three weeks. Some seniors here are really acting dumb. Beach is crowded, as were restaurants. We're hunkered down and likely won't head north again until and unless this virus is gone. Don't want to die because I was stupid!

We considered going for a walk on the beach, but didn't go, and then saw pictures of beaches overflowing and were glad we didn't. We will take a longer drive this weekend looking for an empty beach up north of us if we are going stir crazy.

With all of our nursing homes, there is a huge danger here, plus there are so many Trumpers who are also endangering us.

Seems like it's a common sentiment down there.

Florida is going to be bad.
