https://www.sltrib.com/news/2020/03/18/earthquake-hits-utahs/Not much damage being reported but aftershocks every few minutes . My son was told not to go to work due to damage in his office building.
Watching the local news, it struck me that there is no "social distancing" as people are gathering. picking up some of the damage and being interviewed by reporters.
Imagine if there were to be a horrible natural event. Shit.

(15,412 posts)I was awake but still in bed when I felt it. Then the dogs came running in and both jumped on the bed.
I've only felt one aftershock although there have been a dozen or so. They are reporting now that 60,000 without power.
Looks like only minor property damage. Delays at airport (not sure why).

(14,492 posts)all of their key infrastructure for damage before they could resume flight control. The runways and taxiways have to be checked along with lots of antennas that allow automated landings, marker lights, etc.
USGS is showing a big 5.7, then a 4.4 about an hour later and around 26 other little ones since the big one.
Hoping this is the end of it.......
