Hey Mitch, "the best way to put money directly into the hands of the American people"...

Last edited Wed Mar 18, 2020, 11:26 AM - Edit history (2)

[Direct quote from Mitch on the Senate floor a minute ago] is to put money directly into the hands of the American people.

[Edited for clarity: Mitch did not say the second part, only the part in quotation marks. He thinks there is some other, better way. He said "we have to figure out the best way...etc."]

Yep, no doubt it will be some sort of scam against the American workers, as always. fleur-de-lisa Mar 2020 #4
How astute. With critical thinking like that, how can we go wrong? Firestorm49 Mar 2020 #5

What's their angle? I feel like I'm being handed a dollar while someone is robbing my house.

It's wrong... And, an extension of their typical handing out vouchers for everything instead of setting up services.

In the end... They are still trying to destroy the Social Safety Nets and Public Health System. Which they consider, "Socialism".

So they'll spend now, knowing that they can start complaining about the huge deficit and sabotaging any recovery once they're in the minority again.

As a cashier in a chain pharmacy store, my employment is hanging by a thread.

I'm lucky to have a job to go to, as all supposedly non-essential businesses have been ordered closed in my state.

A check would help weather present difficulties, even if it's a drop in the trough compared to what our retirement plan lost.
