It might be the stress but I’m seriously worried this moron will try to use this to suspend November elections.

We can’t be all “well it’s for the best if we are all on lockdown for indefinite amounts of time”. Because that’s what the GOP would like. None of us to show up in November.

The biggest fail in his analysis, such as it is, is the difference between the primary threat being internal or external. There is no "them" over there threatening "us" here. All of us are threats to each other, including our closest and most trusted loved ones.

He can "get tough" or be belligerent with China all he wants and it won't change the pandemic one iota for the better (in fact, it would probably make things worse).

Also, and this is key, he's going to lose this "war" progressively worse and worse from this day onward until election day. That's the trajectory of this pandemic -- it's going to get much worse in the months ahead no matter what actions he takes now. His actions may affect how much worse, but worse is absolutely the direction this is going. This is part of the same false bravado which led him to declare it was "all under control" and would "go down to zero" and look how that worked out for him.
