Unless my memory is really faulty, didn't we used to expect our President to be honest ?
Or at least honest 99% of the time ?
The Republicans still in his cult seem to have embraced his non-stop lying totally.
We Democrats have rejected it.
Independents ? I don't know, but I'm guessing some percentage of them have embraced it.
If Obama had flat-out lied a tiny fraction of the amount that Trump lies, they would have
gone after impeachment with a vengeance.
I'll be so freaking relieved when we get a President who doesn't lie as easily as he or she breathes.

(82,849 posts)Decide for yourself which one lie you want to focus on, but if everyone picks a different lie, we can embed them in the public memory. For me, I'm using "Anyone who wants to get tested can get tested." Conservawhackos really come unglued when you bring that one up. Use it yourself or pick a different one to repeat.
