(8,445 posts)My son and his family moved in with me for a few months last year while they were building a house. (A few months turned out to be nine months!) They brought their Xfinity services with them, and I dropped mine. When they left, I was able to take advantage of the new customer promo for a year, so I have Internet and basic tv for a little over $50 per month. That's doable for me. When the promo period is over, I'll explore my options.

(8,445 posts)It makes me sick that they could increase their already huge profits while so many are going to suffer.
I also think that chocolate should be free to everyone, but that may just be me trying to resist the candy bar in my cabinet.

(3,004 posts)All they care about is money, crisis or no. The only reason they'd do something like that isn't from the goodness of their hearts, but from the brains of the PR department.

(54,770 posts)I do agree that internet is all but impossible to live without nowadays and we can't afford for kids -- and others -- to be cut off. Don't know how that needs to occur or best way after worst is over.
