If at all possible please pay for your cancelled services: barber, dentist, manicure, etc.

I'm trying to do this when possible, chocking it up to civic duty, these are my friends/community, & the money would be spent anyway.

Logistically, this is a bit difficult because I usually pay in person, and my family is sheltering in place. So via credit card/internet, mail, or a phone call to cancel w/assurance to pay. I was able to pay double to a couple of people on my last visit.

Am I able to do this - no & yes. It won't break me. We are at "war" - a more catastrophic war due to Trump's reckless actions.

I do not feel I can safely go out and help because of age & medical conditions (my hubby's cancer treatments last year, etc.), so we sheltering in place to not tax the medical system.

"if possible" - a little is better than nothing at all. Maybe for any cancelled appointments? AnotherMother4Peace Mar 2020 #5
Also if you have to cancel, give the service provider plenty of notice. nt AnotherMother4Peace Mar 2020 #4

It might make a big difference to the kennel. Some small businesses are hurting right now. nt AnotherMother4Peace Mar 2020 #7

I was supposed to see him/her (it's a team) in April, but since my conference in the States was canceled, I don't know if it's worth the effort to go 5000 miles to see the dentist. There were other things I wanted to do while I was there, but I guess they can be put off.

Though I asked for one, the dentist never even gave me an appointment, so there hasn't been anything to cancel.

idea how long this will last. But if you're sure that your checking/savings will be in tact 2 to 18 months from now, then definitely!

We had dog kennel reservations because we were going to an event which has since been cancelled. I might just pay her anyway.
