He just can't stop lying, and like all narcissists he lies, and lies and lies, and can not remember one lie from another. They also will NEVER admit they are wrong in any way shape or form.

He lies. He says whatever he thinks will deflect blame from himself.

The bigger story, or problem is that the media does little to point this out or confront it. The talking heads will fact check him but really little is done to ever highlight it in real time while it is happening.

In my unrealistic world, I would suggest the media do two things. Call him a liar to his face and have recordings ready to show him how he lied. And/Or simply stop covering his press engagements. There should be ONE reporter from the legitimate media elected by all of the other outlets, who attends those pressers and they should ask the questions so that Trump cannot evade them. If he does, it will be more evident as there are no distractions. He will either answer the question or end the event.

Instead the media scrambles to cover his every lie without confronting him. I know there are individual journalists who do ask him difficult questions but he is able to easily evade by jumping to another reporter that asks a different question that he would prefer to answer.
