JONESBORO, Ark. (KAIT) - As more and more restaurants make the difficult decision to close or change the way they do business, one Jonesboro property owner wants to make it a bit easier for them.

Young Investment Company announced Tuesday night on social media it would “not expect its restaurant tenants to pay April rent.”

The company’s downtown Jonesboro properties house several of the area’s favorite restaurants including Eleanor’s Pizzeria, Roots, Main Street Coffee, The Parsonage, and City Wok.

Instead of paying rent, Young urged owners to “pay your employees and take care of your family. We will get through this together.”

Without the need for coercion by law. If such an attitude and behavior were general, and to be confidently expected, all would be better off, whatever the system we lived within.

After all.....

These are the people that keep you going and they've had your back and made you a lot of money over time, having theirs, should be normal course?

I know why it isn't, silly public corp. rules/stock market, that's it, fix that and get rid of Citizen's United, HC4ALL, and the U.S.A. starts back toward prosperity for all, after this HOAX is over?

Thinking 1.21.21 we get re-started?

way to keep households solvent and in place. Workers with no cash can't afford to pay. Landlords and banks took business risk when they titled their properties and rented or lended. They can afford this, it's a tax write-off for them. If they don't don't do this, we will repeat the outcome of the Housing Bubble and apartments will be empty and people homeless. Does that make any sense?

Legislation forcing rent and mortgage forgiveness without compensation would violate the "takings clause" of the U.S. Constitution.

He signed it today. He can take, seize, require, force to fight the war against corona virus. He would be acting to keep the peace, to prevent spread of the virus by evictions and homelessness. We are being frozen in many ways.

I hear what you're saying. But he'll do what he wants, as long as it makes no sense and profits him.

covering rent for tenants, mortgage payments for property owners and banks holding titles. The flow of funds from tenant to landlord to bank is guaranteed. Everyone gets to keep their current situations and fulfills the government's job to maintain financial stability in my mind.
