I've been to Venice twice, and the only things I ever expected to see in the canals was a dead body.

It's usually so dark and murky. They have been dredging the canals to make them more navigable, so I'd guess that has helped.

and that his video was from Cagliari. He's now posted another one, some distance from the shore, and says this really is Venice this time. Who knows...

I had been there in the summer 20 years prior and warned my wife to expect gross water. But it wasn’t that bad and I did see fish in the water on several occasions. I’m an avid angler and always look for fish activity. I saw what looks identical to the mullet we have in Florida. But never saw any jump like they do here.

I did not see dolphins in the canals but did see them on the boat ride to Burano. Funny thing about dolphins. I see them every time we take the boat out and I am on the gulf at least 45 days a year. And I never get jaded with them. Bald eagles, manatees, sharks, gators and such do not even cause me to look twice I see them so often. But never get tired of watching dolphins. Twice we have come upon a meeting of pods where you have hundreds of them in a few hundred square yards. I don’t know why they do that but are among my most magical memories on the water.
