(34,087 posts)She brought me the pattern. I had to modify it, since she wasn't a seamstress. Lots of cheery patterns.
If you're decent at sewing it takes about an hour to crank out a scrub top.

(34,087 posts)Pockets take a bit of time, and there are mutiple pockets on the pants. The drawstrings also take a bit (although you could probably be creative and sew the drawstring in, rather than needing to thread it through.

(34,087 posts)The fabric was purchased by the person I was sewing for. She was just buying bolts of holiday- or kid- themed fabric of the right weight. Most of those are cotton/poly, and from what I recall of the feel - I'd guess cotton poly (my daughter is 29 now, so it was a while ago!)

You can view the pattern package back which gives you yardage and suggested materials. I'd probably go with 100% cotton and preshrink in very hot water before I cut it out. A cotton/polyester blend might also work but be sure it can be washed in very hot water.

(12,634 posts)Just long enough to get the medical pros over the worst without having to ration scrubs. Id use cotton/poly for wrinkle-resistance and quick drying. And availability!
