We Are Winning! Priorities Out With New Ad To Kick Romney While He Is Down

We Are Winning! Priorities Out With New Ad To Kick Romney While He Is Down

by TomP

The blood of the Romney campaign is in the water and media sharks are circling. Today, as the Rec listed diary tells you, Mark Halperin rips Romney and his "troubles" and a possible upcoming Romney "death stench". When Halperin is bailing, it's already too late for Mitt.

Obama out fundraised Romney (barely) in August and got 700,000 donations last week during the convention. Three polls within the last two days (Reuters, Gallup, and Rasmussen) show a 4-5% national lead for Obama, a real convention bounce. Today, the Romney campaign came out with a memo telling Republicans to ignore the polls and why they were going to win anyway. Memorandum: State Of The Race

Don't get too worked up about the latest polling. While some voters will feel a bit of a sugar-high from the conventions, the basic structure of the race has not changed significantly. The reality of the Obama economy will reassert itself as the ultimate downfall of the Obama Presidency, and Mitt Romney will win this race.

It's just a "sugar high" that Mitt has spent 100s of millions of dollars to get and still has not gotten.

David Axelrod responds to the memo:

Anyone else find it odd that Mitt's pollster put out a state-of-the race memo this morning that was almost entirely devoid of polling data?

So what do you do when your enemy is drowning? Throw him an anchor! And Priorities USA just did.

We The People. The Middle Class. We move our country forward, work hard, raise families, and keep America strong. But Mitt Romney's budget plan will hurt the middle class. Raising taxes on the average middle class family by up to $2000, while giving a tax break of $250,000 to multimillionaires. Doesn't Mitt Romney understand? We can't rebuild America by tearing down the middle class.

Fired Up. Ready to Go.

Don't let up. It's too important.

a state that isn't in play (will probably be the 1st. or 2nd. highest percentage for Rmoney), so we don't get many ads.

Ken Blackwell sold the e-voting machines companies to a buddy in Canada. Diebold and Sequioa are still basically in their criminal hands. I only pray there are enough federal monitors and computer geeks watching this election like hawks so the real winner is declared. Check out Clint Curtis for footage on his testimony to congressional committee if you think I'm bullshitting.

14. The Problem With The "Sugar High" Analogy

Is that Romney's campaign did not provide a sugar high. This movement in the polls isn't from a bunch of Democrats coming home, like happened to an extent with Romney when he clinched the Republican nomination against a very weak field. This is people switching support from Romney to Obama. The undecided number didn't move much. Granted, some of that is likely people moving from undecided to Obama while others move from Romney to undecided, but not so much. But, to be clear, this is a desperation message telling people not to jump ship and that is a clear signal that they have started to jump ship and that spells big trouble. Romney didn't help himself yesterday with the Meet The Press interview either as the campaign had to pull back a major portion because it was a giant gaffe -- at least as bad as telling the British PM that he was concerned with the security arrangements for the Olympics (that went off without a hitch). It is not a sugar high then as it sinks in just how bad of a candidate Romney really is.
