(62,448 posts)a lack of test kits so that Trump could keep the numbers down by not testing putting us all at greater risk.

(2,227 posts)He is one of the founding members of PNAC, who felt that we just needed another Pearl Harbor to get through the legislation changes they, and Cheney wanted.
They got THEIR wishes with 9-11.
Now, since he is critical of the turd, he is the darling of the left.

(53,061 posts)You cannot have it both ways
You cannot disparage the lack of integrity of those Republicans who know better but refuse to speak out
and then question the integrity of those that do.
Three things are known facts;
A) Kristol is one of the most effective critics of Trump
B) We need everyone to take down Trump
C) Kristol could have cashed out and stayed on the gravy train, he could have stayed on the sidelines but by joining the Democratic Party he has burned all of his financial bridges to the Koch brothers and all the other billionaires. He won't starve but he didn't take the easy path and I admire his integrity. We need more Republicans to act like Kristol and Weld, etc.

(15,328 posts)perhaps it will take on a new name.
Let's see "Patrioticans"? Tea-Partians is probably already taken and Libertarians is too close to the truth.

(19,204 posts)There aren't many of them (rule of law republicans, that is) but I like what they're doing.......so far.
Then there are the ruleoflawTrumpshitheads.barf They've caused so much division, hatred, and now death in this country they'll never be forgiven, or forgotten.

(19,204 posts)he's one of the recent converts, and only because of Trump. If republicans, real republicans, came back into power he'd change his registration in a nano-second. Let's put it this way, he may have switched, but his heart wasn't in it.

(53,061 posts)You can't criticize Republicans who know better but don't have the guts to stand up and criticize those who stood up and burned all their bridges as being insincere.
Kristol didn't make a sound and fade away like Flake, he isn't just standing up to Trump he is throwing the sharpest punches and taking straight aim at Trump as a criminal.
He deserves our respect. He has shown a lot of integrity.
By the way he isn't speaking out against just Trump but all of the Republican Senators that enable him.
This isn't the time to try to magnify the differences of those that are allied against Trump but to magnify what we agree on.
This is about more than Trump this is about gaining Senators in Montana, Arizona, Colorado, Maine and yes even Kentucky and North Carolina. Kristol isn't about just Trump but also taking the Senate and as this video shows, he is damn good at it.

(19,204 posts)who paved the way for the "cut government to the bone" movement, and was instrumental in the development of the right-wing propaganda Wurlitzer so prevalent today.
I get what you're saying, "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" and all that, but I don't trust Kristol as far as I can throw him. We'll just have to agree to disagree on where Bill Kristol's heart lies.

(20,219 posts)Every time I see the trending headlines, its obvious that fox ignores current events and only reports stories praising comrade treason pumpkin. That or fluff. It makes me so angry when I see the way they poison truth and reality. The damage theyve done to the US is incalculable.

(9,124 posts)It will go over their heads. They think nobody knew it would get bad. They didn't think so themselves. All the Fox News commentators told them that it was just like flu. All this ad does is repeat Trump making the same points that Fox News has already been making. It would be better to attack Trump on failing on the testing and allowing the virus to spread.

(23,155 posts)We are in this mess because he doesn't give a shit about us and put profits first annointing a very small company in which he's a part owner as the sole supplier of tests. This co. was bad, it was failing, and it took them 8 weeks to ship the first tests and THEY WERE DEFECTIVE! That's why drumpf made all that blather about perfect tests, because he profited from them and they were bad tests. Finally several weeks later they started sending better tests, but they can't keep up and he didn't want them to keep up - rather wanting to hide his perfidy from putting his personal profits over our lives. He's so stupid he thinks he can lie this away and cover up his responsibility, but he can't. Now he's refusing to get the equipment ordered because it might disrupt some of this donors businesses. He'd rather us die and then he will point the tiny fingers at the nations' governors. That's why he won't step up, he doesn't even want the appearance of trying because he's so awful at negotiating and leading that he just doesn't have any idea what to do good, so he continues doing bad & destructive things to our country.
