***FAUCI JUST LOST ALL CREDIBILITY !!!***

Last edited Fri Mar 20, 2020, 04:17 PM - Edit history (4)

Four Days Ago: World Health Organization: "....TEST TEST TEST"

Fauci on Trumps 12pm est 3/20/2020 presser after being asked about everyone getting tested : "I don't connect the dots there ... I don't see where testing everyone in the country is going to help you get to this (holds up Trumps 15 point plan)..."

WTF MAN !!?!?!

I'm going to look for Fauci's clarification on this in the coming days.

Obama got 1 million people tested with a novel swine flu in a month.

EDIT: Yes its nearly unreasonable to test 330 million people in weeks... that's not the problem right now is that we can't get 99% of symptomatic tested in days !! Fauci's answer to the reporter more leaned towards NOT having prioritized testing (like they've done in SKorea) and addressing a literal question vs narrowing the testing process down to priorities.

Trump administration is FAILING ... FAILING right now to test the people who THINK they are sick !!!

That's the bigger problem that needs to be addressed and saying "I don't see where testing everyone is going to help ...." doesn't get us closer to a solution.

EDIT: Getting nearly everyone in this township in Italy stopped CV19 in two weeks [link]

Of course we're much bigger but that's where we should be striving for; this town and S Korea.

We're Number 101 !!! shouldn't be America's motto even with Trump in office.

A fucking "q-tip" which looks like a "swab" is not a "swab" that could be used for this application. they will need a task force (if not existing) to identify the worst hot spots and go after those with a vengeance first, than spread out from there.

Many of our metro areas are getting out of control and coincidentally they also have most of the hospitals and doctors that people from the countryside come in to get help from. Slowing infection rates around our large medical centers insures healthcare workers have better odds of making it through the crisis.

Regardless of the screw-ups, industry can't just shit millions of test kits (or ventilators or masks) overnight because medical safety protocols must be followed to guarantee integrity of the devices.

Here in Philly, they deployed PA Task Force I to setup a drive-through testing station down at the Phillies' stadium (Citzen's Bank Park) -

I expect other TF units are deploying to the larger metro areas around the country as well, to supplement the sample collection.

Now that Philly is starting to get testing locations up, after starting out far behind with testing/positives when compared to the original PA hotspot - rim county Montgomery County (also the 3rd largest county in PA in terms of population), we are now about at parity.

As of today, we are now 1 person behind Montco (Philly = 67 and Montco = 68) and we will easily blow past.

In this case, Fauci's.

It costs to take the moral high ground. If he's not eligible to retire, then by doing so he loses his pension. If he's eligible to retire and is trying to maximize his pension, then retiring now costs him.

That said, I've read that Fauci is a pro - intelligent, thoughtful, honest. Well, judging from your post, it seems that he has sold his soul to Trump.

Everything Trump Touches Dies.

He should resign/retire/whatever and tell the truth. Otherwise, his actions today will be the opening paragraph of his obituary.

But we need someone - anyone - to tell the truth, and if it isn't Fauci, and it's definitely not the sycophantic Surgeon General, who will?

101. Another item he was fudging was the question of droplet transmission.
Fri Mar 20, 2020, 03:19 PM
Mar 2020

He wasn't worried about air transmission-only droplets that fall to a surface and are picked up through touch. And yes that is important, but this virus can be picked up through transmission to the eyes, nose, and mouth. That is why masks, protective eye wear, and gloves are worn by isolation personnel, in addition to a gown.
"Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, touching a surface or object with the virus and then touching one's own face "is not thought to be the main way the virus spreads".
"One aspect that has been unclear is exactly how long SARS-CoV-2, the name of the virus that causes the disease Covid-19, can survive outside the human body. Some studies on other coronaviruses, including Sars and Mers, found they can survive on metal, glass and plastic for as long as nine days, unless they are properly disinfected. Some can even hang around for up to 28 days in low temperatures."
"the virus could survive in droplets for up to three hours after being coughed out into the air. Fine droplets between 1-5 micrometres in size – about 30 times smaller than the width of a human hair – can remain airborne for several hours in still air."

The Dow was down about 190 when I tuned in in the middle of the update. Right now it is down over 900 points.

The "highlight" was Trump's closing argument where he again attacked Obama for not handing him off a team for dealing with a pandemic. He then stormed off the stage. He just runs away from responsibility so of course nobody can have any trust in anything he proposed or implements. He just can't deal with the fact that the office of President is way too big for him to ever fill.
