Peter Alexander was trying to see if Trump could be the "Comforter in Chief".

Trump failed. Trump has no empathy, and Peter Alexander exposed it to the nation.

no rallies down from 2 or 3 a week so no maggot adulation.

He knew exactly what he was doing. It's the job of a great reporter to bring out the truth when dealing with politicians who lie for a living. Alexander got the full story out there.

Nothing comes as a surprise. Especially when dealing with the press corps.

And Trump put Alexander in the news. That should help his popularity rating.

As said above, Alexander asked the question likely for two reasons. To see if Trump has the capacity to be even a little bit human. Or... to expose Trump as the asshole he is in a live briefing with a lot of people watching.

This wasn't a "reporter" from OANN asking a stupid question. This was a test that Trump failed at, in front of the Nation.

We are shooting for that one or two people of many who are not really paying attention, who just happened to tune in today. If they caught that and got the impression that Trump is a complete tool, then it is a victory for truth.

We know that his supporters are as rock headed as he is. They are not the target. It is those 46% of eligible voters who didn't vote in the last election that we are hoping to activate.

from Mr. A. Now we see in all of its shining glory, why rump has had six bankruptcies, is morally bankrupt, and is a disgusting human being. It would be nice to have any encouraging words from someone in charge but no. No one is in charge, no one is taking responsibility, and he's playing the blame game on anyone or any entity he thinks he can get away with. Won't work this time because it's far more serious, far more at sake, and its time for no more games.

Geez what a softball question. But since he had the audacity to not preface it with what a great job trump was doing he needed to be properly dressed down in public.
