I lived in that area, up on the Peninsula for 7 years, and I know for a fact that that part of the state is very racially diverse.
He's not going to win this thing with just courting old white people
. He should know this.
Doesn't he get that this new Southern Strategy thing of his going to come back and bite him in the ass?

(14,624 posts)Although the area is racially mixed, there are a lot of bigots. I thought the deep south was bad, but southeastern Virginia has it's share of hateful rednecks as well.

What if they give the advice to ignore all non-GOP produced BS telling him all others are lies?

The few customer's I have who are GOP are in their early 70's, haven't changed ONE THING in their homes since the 70's when they got married and think "The whole world is going to hell in a handbasket."
They stopped growing 40+ years ago and want life to return to Father Knows Best.
