Lest we forget it was Jimmy Carter, on the advice of Zbignew Jablonsky or whatever the fuck his name was, who decided to start pumping money to the Islamist Mujahideen (to be fair Ronnie Raygun happily kept it going) in order to give the Russkies their own Vietnam War.

Would I have refused to send American athletes to the 1980 Summer gams as president? Not a chance because I believe the games shouldn't be politicized or used as a forum for petty political dick waving.
