The NRA has done maybe the most disgusting thing I've ever seen.

All the words I have are curse words. While people are reaching out, making masks and gowns for medical personnel, give free concerts and classes, buy gift cards from stores so they won’t go under, take groceries to people...they commit this obscenity. I cannot fathom what it takes to be this way.

to confiscate them. That's the idea right? To fight back at the government from taking your property - like your guns?

Anyone who thinks a damn gun is going to stop an entire police force or a damn army is not thinking.

I guess that is what the NRA wants. People not thinking.

They didn’t go house to house taking guns. Mostly they took them from people boarding the buses to evacuate with the hope of returning them, and yes, sometimes they took them from people who they were rescuing and/or who were scared and they were afraid would shoot somebody. The NRA list it’s shit and stopped that without a care for who got hurt in the process, and the police and military were really afraid.

Mind you there was a LOT of crazy coming from them too but it was hardly a simple grab the guns.

When I was a much younger person, I was even a member. I didn't own a gun at the time, but the membership was free, offered after the required "Hunter Safety" class at my high school. It was a required course for all students.

Donald Trump is currently working his ass off trying to parlay the CV into permission to become a dictator. The NRA is trying shit like this. It is more than clear that the GOP sees this virus as some sort of dream come true - a chance to take over the country and turn it into a theocratic, fascist third-world shithole.

She is right. You should be able to protect yourself and your family.

Do you really think the police will show up when you call?

Ask the people of LA CA how that worked for them during the Rodney King roits. A whole lot of people rethought their stance on gun control.

To be clear there is no place in society for allowing military grade weapons in the hands of the civilian population.
