Far-Right Gay Blogger Peddles Alleged Salacious Photo of Andrew Gillum-

A week after Florida politician Andrew Gillum was found at the site of a potential meth overdose, a website run by a gay right-wing blogger has published an alleged nude photo from the incident.

The image — the veracity of which has not been confirmed by The Advocate — shows a man purported to be Gillum, the 2018 Democratic nominee for Florida governor, lying naked on the floor with his head on a towel covered in vomit.

Blogger Jacob Engels, a gay right-wing activist who runs the website Central Florida Post, said he obtained the photograph with the help of Enrique Tarrio, a congressional candidate in South Florida and a member of the Proud Boys, designated as a hate group by the Southern Poverty Law Center.
The validity of the photograph has not been confirmed and has been digitally censored. Right-wing celebrity James Woods, known for homophobic and transphobic rhetoric, already shared the image to his 2.2 million followers.

It’s important to note Engels has been affiliated with the conspiracy site InfoWars and, like that site’s founder Alex Jones, has been banned from Twitter for hate speech.

If all this is true, it leads me to believe Gillum was set up. Now, don't get me wrong, if he indeed was there to be intimate with someone, whether gay or straight, there is absolutely no excuse for that.It was just plain wrong. He is a married man.
The drugs and alcohol, I am not so alarmed or devastated by it to be honest, I work in mental health and addiction and I know that substance abuse is not a personal failing. I have treated all kinds of people in my career, so Gillum having a substance abuse problem would not be alarming to me. It can happen to anyone.

The thought of him being set up by a white supremacist makes this so sinister to me. I am sure that there are those that will say he put himself in that position, no one to blame but himself. But, I can't help but think that if this is a set up, someone evil exploited his struggles.

I get that many will have little sympathy for Gillum. I do hope he can heal and pick himself back up. We have a blathering idiot for a president who paid off porn stars and said on tape he likes to sexually assault women, whom is suspected to have an addiction to Adderall. What Gillum did should be forgivable. But I'm afraid Dems never get the pass that Republicans get.
