I was just out here in KCMO north. All the grocery stores and Walmarts are jammed with customers.
That cannot be safe. I ended up going to my little organic grocery. Not many people there.

(18,868 posts)Only essential businesses can be open. Everyone else is supposed to be at home. New rules go into effect Tuesday. They waited for a few days to give people time to take care if personal business.
So, naturally , everyone is trying to get all stocked up before Tuesday. And so thousands are all mobbing the stores. Not just the
Virus but flu is still out there as well.
The essential stores will still be open. Even laundromats can stay open. No reason to completely panic.

Checkout is similarly controlled. One long line of shoppers extends from the checkout towards the back of the store. All of the cashiers are open, so the line moves quickly, but there's no clustering around the checkout.
