WP says Obama does not attend intelligence briefings.

Oh brother, here we go with the smear campaign....the best part is this:

"While the Bush records are not yet available electronically for analysis, officials tell me the former president held his intelligence meeting six days a week, no exceptions"

OH I'M SURE.

The author is "a fellow with the American Enterprise Institute". Gee, what a coincidence!

edited to add: link apparently doesn't work.

Piece is called "Why is Obama skipping more than half of his daily intelligence meetings?" published today in the Washington Post. Googled title to see if I could get another link, I can't get back into the article to find author's name.

Donald Rumsfeld is giving the president his daily briefing. He concludes by saying: "Yesterday, 3 Brazilian soldiers were killed."

"OH NO!" the President exclaims. "That's terrible!"

His staff sits stunned at this display of emotion, nervously watching as the President sits, head in hands.

Finally, the President looks up and asks, "How many is a brazillion?"

You knew somebody had to do it!

why did 9/11 occur on his watch? It was because he was too incompetent to be president and to surround himself with capable people. 100% attendance would not have made Bush competent.

Perhaps he prefers reading the reports himself instead of listening to some other person telling him a summary of what's in the reports?

is RW crap and beyond useless: White House takes a shot at WaPo over story about Obama skipping intel briefings

When did an op-ed become a "story"?

Even better, from the link: "The Washington Post’s Dana Milbank suggested..."

And then it links to Thiessen.

you will find it enlightening and see that it belongs back in the sewer the author crawled out of.

The author is Marc A Thiessen, speechwriter for Bush AND Rumsfeld and more.

Here is the link to the POS written by him and disgustingly posted by the WP.

"this piece of shit" and "POS". Nowhere in my post do I use the word "article" so I am unsure as to why you seem to think I did so. Here is the totality of my post:

"Look up the author of this piece of shit ...

you will find it enlightening and see that it belongs back in the sewer the author crawled out of.

As to my point re "article", I respectfully disagree. To refer to it otherwise, opinion piece or whatever, to me, lessens the WP's responsibility for publishing this piece of shit.

19. Dana Milbank: Astoundingly BAD thought process.
Mon Sep 10, 2012, 11:09 PM
Sep 2012

Let's see if I get this straight. He looks at the President's schedule, and concludes, that the President didn't attend the meeting, based on the schedule. Except, that a President FUCKING travels, idiot, and cannot be at all the meetings. That's why Presidents get personal briefings every single day. In fact, the briefing right before 9/11 was handed to GWB, but he failed to read it.

It's like having a Sales Manager who is away on business, and cannot attend sales meetings while traveling, so Milbank decides that must mean that the Manager has no idea what the daily sales numbers are.

Yo Milbank.. they have these AMAZING things called PRINTED PEICES OF PAPER... and people put words and numbers on them, so that someone can actually READ them and not have to be in the same room as the person who wrote them.

Shocking!! I know, right??? Considering the President has completely kicked ass on the Republicans when it comes to stopping terrorist attacks, knocking down Al Queda, oh and that small thing of KILLING OBL, I think he's doing just fine. Crawl back into your penthouse.
