The state of NY now has more Covid-19 cases than

NY if it was a country has more cases than all the countries of the world but: China, Italy, Spain and Germany and approaching 23,000 cases in the state. I’m sure we’ll start seeing similar numbers elsewhere going forward, but the next highest number state is Washington and it’s not even 2000. Stay safe NYers. God bless the medical people working the front lines that are surely about to get overwhelmed.

….we just don't know it yet because they have had widespread testing. What we don't know might kill us

My daughter lives in NYC and I am very uncomfortable. She is being smart and staying inside, but I'm nervous.

Identifying those who are carriers/ill is a good step towards containing this thing. So far, in my little corner of Oregon, we have only 2 confirmed cases in the county. Our entire city is effectively shut down except for grocery stores, pharmacies, and restaurant take-out.

It's just so difficult to be 3000 miles away from her. My other daughter is in Colorado and she is being very cautious because there have been a number of hot spots there as well.

Atlanta has some good hospitals, but its large public hospital (Grady) has been largely out of commission for several months due to some inexplicable pipe failure in December with major flooding and thus on diversion.

A very large at-risk population in the Atlanta area and hospitals were already overwhelmed.

I'm glad we have a decent response thus far in Colorado with a responsible Democratic Governor. With a very RWer governor, I don't feel so confident for Georgia and other southern states. And my sister is on the ER lines in Atlanta. Fingers crossed every minute and every hour.

The roads in the Hudson Valley have been empty for weeks.

Saturday morning's 20 mile trip for supplies was interesting to say the very least.
