Florida Republican Urges Blowing Hair Dryer Up Your Nose

OKEECHOBEE – While most of the Okeechobee County Commissioners urge the public to refer to the health information from the Centers for Disease Control, the Florida Department of Health or their own doctor, one commissioner uses the public commission meetings to share his own ideas about COVID-19.

At the March 20 meeting of the Okeechobee County Commissioners, Commissioner Bryant Culpepper referenced a program he said he saw on One American News Network about the coronavirus.

“One of the things that was pointed out in this interview with one of the foremost doctors who has studied the coronavirus said that the nasal passages and the nasal membranes are the coolest part of the body. That’s why the virus tends to go there until it then becomes healthy enough to go into the lungs.

“This sound really goofy, and it did to me too, but it works,” he explained. “Once the temperature reaches 136 degrees Fahrenheit, the virus falls apart, it disintegrates.

135 Degrees F was the point that you pulled back involuntarily. If something is below 135 you can keep your hand on it. 135 and up, you can't. It's handy to know for checking motors and bearings by touch.

135 is medium rare steak. I think you would damage the nose.

probably for the same reason. So theoretically coffee and tea drinkers won’t become ill. Hmmm... if that’s true, this thing would never have taken off in China or England, not to mention Starbuck’s favorite country.

In case there was any doubt.
https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/hair-dryer-coronavirus/

... Dimke describes himself as “Dr. Dan Lee Dimpke” in the viral video, Dimke is not a medical doctor. he claims to have a doctoral degree in education from Southwest University and a master’s degree in business administration. His biography lists a number of unusual skills (jet helicopter pilot, for one) but doesn’t describe any educational or professional experience that would qualify him to provide medical advice.

That said, copies of the video, or videos that repeat the false claim, remain live on the platform as of this writing. Many of the videos contain the logo of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), potentially giving the false impression that the information was sourced from the government agency on the front lines of battling the disease.

If blowing the hot air from a hair dryer up your nose doesn't blow the virus out of your nose into your lungs (which could kill you) it will dry out the mucus inside of your alveolar passages (which WILL kill you).

Only do this if you're a Trump supporter.

..where it posts answers/remarks to people's questions.

It ain't just here, by a long shot. Most of the questions aren't unreasonable, but some are out there. Doctors seem to answer some of the questions, occasionally getting a little bit snarky. ('If you try that, the virus won't be a problem for you, because you'll likely be dead.')

Drinking more alcohol is a favorite topic, perhaps written as they open another bottle of scotch in front of their disapproving partner: 'Alcohol kills the virus, so drinking more is good, right?'
Bathing in 57C/135F water.
Blow drying your body.
Smoking more.
Sitting in a sauna for hours
Consuming some unusual potions. ('Why would you want to do that? It will taste horrible and it won't help you at all.')
