So Trump's tweet reveals the play: Claims that the federal government is there to back up states "if they fail." Which states need most help right now? Blue states. So sit back, let people die, then, IF Trump decides to step in, blame it on these governors' "failures." He's sick.

Guess DT hasn't read all the bullshit about "leadership" and role in coordinating hospital responses, blah, blah, blah on https://www.phe.gov/about/Pages/default.aspx

Sounds nice on paper.

Too bad it's crap.

From Wikipedia page on the act:

In January 2018, the Senate Health, Education, Labor and Pensions (HELP) Committee held two separate hearings on the reauthorization of the PAHPA law. The conclusion from many witnesses who testified before the hearings is that "decreased and episodic funding from the United States government has stakeholders questioning the true commitment federal lawmakers have for sustaining the nation's preparedness and response capabilities during a catastrophic event linked to infectious diseases, natural disasters or chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear (CBRN) agents."[2]

I said as it got worse he’d just blame the states. If he’s just there as backup let’s let the governors get the airtime instead of this moron. He’s digging a long term grave for a short term win maybe. As every state is overrun he can’t continue to say he’s just backup.
