Two years ago. My guaranteed 2.3% return is looking pretty good right now. I calculated that my pension (thank you, Union!) plus SS would provide enough for a frugal life and I wanted my daughter to inherit a tidy sum from my IRA. So I sheltered it from the flailing maladministration.

It’s all where your comfort level is I guess. I don’t worry about having missed out on bucks deluxe in the market of the last 3 years, I’m happier that now that things are turning to shit, I’m not losing any money!

Risk averse much? Yes please.
