(4,140 posts)How can they know when they cant get tested? In any case, no way I want to be working next to someone with active virus, PPE or not. Not when medical professionals who know how to use the equipment are getting sick anyway. This is extraordinarily irresponsible.

Vice President Mike Pence said Sunday that the coronavirus task force, in coordination with the Center for Disease Control, would issue guidance this week about how people exposed to the virus could return to work by wearing a mask.

I suppose we could make people walk around wearing a scarlet letter V, or perhaps T would be more appropriate, but that still assumes were identifying carriers soon after infection.

(15,805 posts)wears, touches or walks on, is contaminated, because the corona virus lives for a long time on various surfaces. Maybe the odds are larger than with direct contact, but who is willing to be the lab rat who gets to test out that theory?
