President Trump on Sunday appeared to make light of the news that Sen. Mitt Romney is self-quarantining because of his contact with Sen. Rand Paul, in the presidents latest shot at the lone GOP senator who voted to convict him on one impeachment charge.
Paul (R-Ky.) revealed Sunday that he has tested positive for coronavirus, and Romney (Utah) announced soon after that the Senate physician had ordered him to self-quarantine.
Romneys in isolation? Trump asked reporters at Sundays coronavirus task force briefing. Gee. Thats too bad.
Did I detect sarcasm there, sir? a reporter asked.
No, Trump responded. None whatsoever.

(25,183 posts)watch Trump's face as he denied the sarcasm, and it had the appearance of being sincere. There's more than enough to fault him for besides this remark. I had not heard of Romney's self-quarantine, either.
